Halbesleben has served at the College of Alabama due to the fact 2010. Prior to his appointment as dean of the School of Continuing Studies, he served as senior affiliate dean and Russell Professor of Business Administration in the Culverhouse Faculty of Organization at the University of Alabama. 

Ahead of becoming a member of Alabama, Halbesleben held faculty positions at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire and the College of Missouri. Halbesleben gained his Ph.D. and M.S. in industrial/organizational psychology from the University of Oklahoma and a bachelor’s diploma from Winona State University.
