$40,000 awarded to Brooklyn entrepreneurs by BPL’s business plan competition

Brooklyn Public Library’s 18th annual PowerUP! Company Strategy Level of competition awarded $40,000 to aspiring business people at a digital pitch level of competition and awards ceremony Wednesday evening hosted by Joe Connolly, company anchor for WCBS NewsRadio 880. 

Dime Community Financial institution introduced the $20,000 grand prize to Charly Uzcatequi, Timothy Chu and Henger Ydrogo for TerrartNYC, a landscaping company focused to producing self-sustaining terrariums in New York Metropolis.

A judging panel of organization homeowners, nonprofit leaders and lecturers picked TerrartNYC from a field of in excess of 350 entries, most of whom had no past company practical experience.
